Marine environmental surveys within two areas of the Shannon Estuary adjacent to the townlands of Cahiracon and Tarbert to provide high-quality baseline data that can contribute to a reliable basis for site selection for the Strategic Gas Emergency Reserve. The surveys require the deployment and retrieval of up 3 static acoustic monitoring (SAM) devices per study area and up to two acoustic doppler current profilers (ADCP) per study area.
