MARA – GIS Data Delivery Shapefile Template Pack for MAC and MUL Applications

To be used in conjunction with MARA’s Technical Mapping Guidance Notes for MAC/MUL Applications in the Maritime Area under the Maritime Area Planning Act 2021 (MAPA)

The following information is relevant to individuals or organisations readying their application material for submission to MARA in relation to Maritime Area Consents (MACs) or Maritime Usage Licences (MULs).

The submission of GIS data with respect to a MAC or MUL application is a fundamental part of the MARA MAC and MUL application process. MARA have drawn up a set of GIS data standard guidelines for the delivery of data associated with each proposed MAC or MUL application to ensure consistency in data delivery to MARA.

This project pack contains GIS Data Shapefile templates for different coordinate reference systems, style layers and a one page reference note to help you or your organisation prepare for project application delivery to MARA.

Download the GIS Data Delivery Shapefile Template Pack, identify the coordinate reference system that is relevant to your area of interest and use the ready made GIS data shapefile, populating with your proposed MAC or MUL area. When you are project ready you can submit this GIS data Shapefile to MARA ensuing that you have adhered to the guidelines linked above.
