Application Prioritisation
When a complete application is received by MARA, it is reviewed against our Application Prioritisation Matrix in the first instance.
Our application prioritisation process was updated following the commencement of the Critical Infrastructure Act 2026.
- Applications relating to projects designated under the Critical Infrastructure Act 2026
- Applications relating to energy, water and transport projects that meet the criteria set out in Circular 18/2026 – Principles for Better Regulation for Critical Infrastructure Projects)
- All other applications
Our system of prioritisation will be kept under review and adapted as may be required if Government guidance changes.
