The dredging area is closest to land (0.05 km) beyond the lock gates of Kilrush Marina, within transitional waters of the Shannon Estuary
Activity
The proposed Maritime Usage is part of a long-established programme of maintenance dredging in this area, which has been carried out periodically since the completion of Cappagh Pier in the mid19th century.
