Reporting on a pivotal year, marked by rapid organisational growth, significantly increased regulatory output and heightened national importance of MARA activities across key sectors of the Irish economy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implemented streamlined end-to-end application processes for MAC and MUL regimes, improving efficiency and turnaround times.<\/li>\n<li>Delivered a focused application processing campaign, significantly increasing output and clearing application backlogs.<\/li>\n<li>Enhanced transparency, including earlier publication of application documentation and decisions.<\/li>\n<li>MARA expanded its workforce from 48 to 60 staff, with recruitment across technical and administrative roles.<\/li>\n<li>MARA prioritised other compliance activities on Ports, Coastal Planning Authorities and Utilities based on risk analysis. Unauthorised activity was identified and addressed and issues regularised by way of transitional provisions provided for in legislation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>MARA\u2019s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Laura Brien commenting on the publication of the 2025 Annual Report said:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe publication of our 2025 Annual Report marks an important opportunity to reflect on the progress we have made over the past year and to reaffirm our commitment to transparency, accountability and delivery.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Throughout 2025, we continued to build on our achievements, respond to emerging opportunities and challenges, and remain focused on our strategic priorities. The Annual Report provides a comprehensive overview of our performance, key milestones and the work undertaken across the organisation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would like to thank the team at MARA, our Board and our stakeholders for their continued commitment and support.
